Celebrating Travel

Are you looking for a way to commemorate your summer travels or a gift for a friend abroad? Here are new Country Tree and Country Square ornaments available in the shop that are portable projects to carry in your purse or tote to stitch when you are traveling or waiting for appointments.

The Country Tree ornaments are 4″ tall on 18 ct.  A great portable project for your purse or tote to stitch on that next flight or while waiting for an appointment.

These Country Squares are 3×3″ on 18 ct.  These can be made into key fobs, scissor fobs,  
bag tags or appliqued to a bag.

Calling all Counted Design Enthusiasts!

Counted needlepoint designs are sometimes intimidating to many stitchers. I encourage those of you who 
have been considering to try this form of needlepoint to join us for talented Sue Reed’s class , Mystery of Life.
The class is two days, October 13 (Thursday) and October 14 (Friday) from 101m-4pm.
                           
                             



 Rhythmic patterns are stitched to form three separate interlaced designs reminiscent of Celtic/British Isles knots. The center is comprised of four knots that abut, with carefully placed colors to make the knots appear as one large knot. The border pattern, a basic knot adaptation, is expanded to flow entirely around the design. At each corner an interlaced motif weaves into the basic pattern to create another dimension to the corner turn. Quiet areas of solid-color patterns bring texture to the background and allow for a visual resting place.
