I have been busy getting ready for market. I was fortunate to be able to attend a Thursday class taught by Laura Taylor. Another wonderful canvas from Melissa Shirley Designs entitled, Saquaro Table , was the class project . I learned many techniques to pass on to you to add dimension and interest to any canvas. I used some new threads and learned several new stitches. It was such a treat to sit in class , stitch and learn !

your home and am pleased with the results.

This time of year we have all the wonderful decorations and those delicious , tempting sweets.
It has always been so much fun to create a gingerbread house each year . 
Gingerbread House Christmas 2014
It is also a great time to stitch a gingerbread ornament – the no calorie kind!
Here is the one I am working on from Julia’s Needlework Designs that will be a little box with a hinged lid.
I thought I would share some of my favorite stitches for gingerbread. On this one I am using
upright cross stitch.
Some other stitches that work well are Serendipity, Nobuko, Criss cross Hungarian and Woven. Each gives a little texture to the design.
So enjoy stitching and all the season’s goodies!
Nativity Tree
This Nativity Tree will be one of our clubs for 2015. The design is 15.5″ tall and the base is 11″ wide on 18 mesh. There will be 9 lessons so you can stitch it and have it finished for next Christmas.
Each lesson/kit cost will vary depending on threads,etc.
You will receive at 15% finishing discount. As there is not border you can add a background if you choose to frame it or put it in a tray . For a standup , a smaller border will be stitched.

The adorable designs of Cheryl Huckaby, CH Designs of Danji Designs, have arrived in the store . This trunk show is an order only trunk show–we have one of each of her designs for you to choose from. That way they will arrive inthe New Year, a great way to start your 2015 stitching. There are candy canes, gingerbread people with gingerbread house as well as eggs and carrots for your Easter tree. My family has asked me to stitch the Gingerbread house and gingerbread people so that is what I am ordering. Here is the link for you to make your choices

Everyone is asking about the new restaurant going in where Busters was for nearly 30 years.
It is going to be a French bistro with a wine bar, bakery ( chocolate croissant , anyone?) , and a market( cheeses ,breads, pate and wonderful goodies). The plan is to open mid January . I will keep you posted on the opening and hours so you can come for coffee and a pastry or lunch and shop/visit with us.
