Summer Stitching
How is your summer stitching coming along?I am busy working on several pieces for the shop but am making time to complete my challenge canvas. Here is the progress so far.
The little pony is completed . Working on the background in a variety of darning patterns next.Still a good portion to complete but pleased so far. I stitch for 30 minutes on this piece every morning..Thinking of ideas for the brown paper packages as I stitch. As you do , I have changed threads and stitches when it did not look as I wanted. I am really enjoying stitching this piece.

What’s Stitching! Mardi Gras
For those of us who love the rhythm of counted needlepoint designs, Sue Reed will be back to teach November 4/5.2015. All the ladies so enjoyed Sue’s It’s Knot the Ususal Class learning new stitches, techniques and working with color. So here we go again with another new unique design from Sue.
Mardi Gras
A multi-layered composite woven wheel pattern with its playful colors creates the center of Mardi Gras. Radiating outward from the center are four bands of a zigzag pattern. This pattern extends outward to set up four rectangular areas. The stitches used on the rectangles allow for light play and movement, color and texture. Some of these stitches are plain and multicolored twisted stars, alternating cashmere blocks, diagonal mosaics, Sprat’s head, long-armed cross, and beading. Surrounding this colorful design is a quiet border of slanted Gobelin and long-armed cross. Color choices are available.
Design Size: 9” x 8.75”
Class Dates: November 4/5, 2015 10am-4pm

Meet Molly!
Meet Molly!
Molly was stitched by a dear customer and her picture sits with all the other important family pictures. We finished her as an easel back with a hangar for versatitlity. We all love our pets. My family has Shar Peis
and here is my favorite picture. I stitched this pillow designed by Sandra Gilmore in their honor.
Many designers have wonderful cat and dog canvases. But, if your sweet pet is not available, a picture is all you need to have your pet on canvas. So let us show you what is available and if nothing fits, we can put your pet on canvas.
